Our Purpose

The goal of Leadership Morgan Hill is to deliver a curriculum designed to prepare individuals from diverse parts of the Morgan Hill community to serve as facilitative leaders who will augment our community. The Leadership program is designed to educate and inspire its residents for community leadership and volunteer service. Candidates are selected on the basis of ability, leadership potential and demonstrated interest in our community. Participation in the program represents a significant commitment of time and dedication.

Our Selection Process

  • Participants will be chosen by the Leadership Morgan Hill Selection Committee based on application materials submitted by program candidates and an interview with alumni.

  • Participants must demonstrate motivation, interest, and commitment to serve the community.

  • Program members must demonstrate an ability to achieve personal goals, time available to dedicate to the program as well as community service and a personal commitment to the Morgan Hill community.

  • A maximum 24 candidates will be selected to participate in the annual Leadership Morgan Hill program.


Your Commitment

  • Graduates of the Leadership Morgan Hill program are expected to serve and strengthen the community upon completion of the program.

  • The Selection Committee may be unable to place all eligible candidates, even if these applicants have demonstrated excellent credentials. These applicants are encouraged to reapply for future programs.

  • Participants will require the support of their employer to secure approval for the time required to attend the program sessions.

  • Assignments outside of class sessions will be required, such as planning sessions for a chosen class project. If selected, applicants will be expected to attend all sessions and complete program assignments.

  • Applicants grant permission to the Selection Committee to discuss information presented on the application with individuals who are knowledgeable about the candidate’s ability, potential, and demonstrated interest in the community. The Selection Committee will be held harmless concerning the selection process and admission decision.

  • Applicants shall certify that the information provided on the application is true and complete and agree that falsified information or significant omissions may disqualify a candidate from further consideration. Such conduct may be considered justification for dismissal from the program if discovered after admittance.

  • Willingness and ability to assume greater community involvement

  • Diverse background and experience
